Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and
San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting - July 17, 2000

Page 7

There being no further comments from the public, and without opposition, the
Public Hearing was closed.

Debbie Potter, Redevelopment Administrator, commented on the extensive
outreach that was done with the community, adding that there have been
community meetings, and various other noticed meetings with the Planning
Commission, along with a notice for tonight's meeting.

City Council/Agency discussion ensued regarding the elimination of the pad space
that was going to be dedicated to an Interpretive Center.

Staff related to the City Council/Agency the manner in which the Interpretive
Center had been planned and the lack of funding for the Center at this point. It
was also suggested by the City Council/Agency that the monies from the sale of
the pad, plus the tax increment monies, should be set aside for the future purchase
and/or acquisition of another site.

Vice Mayor Glaze said he thinks it's wrong that the Interpretive Center pad will
not be provided by the developer.

The City Council/Agency continued discussion regarding concerns with the
parking lot, ingress and egress into and from the project, overflow parking from
BART, and how the parking addresses ADA issues.

The following Resolutions were then introduced:

Resolution No. 2000-25, Resolution of the San Leandro Redevelopment
Agency of the City of San Leandro Approving the Reuse Report Required by
Health and Safety Code Section 33433 and the Amended and Restated
Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) Between Creekside
Associates, LLC, and the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency for the Sale of
Property to Be Developed as Creekside Business Park, Located at 960 San
Leandro Boulevard, in the Plaza Redevelopment Project Area, Assessor's
Parcel Number 75-36-52, to Add a Third Building, Building C (50,000 Square
Feet) and a One-Level Parking Structure. As amended regarding the
Interpretive Center. (2888)

M/S/C Loeffler and Glaze. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0
