He also urged the City to promote the reconstruction of the channel. In <br />conclusion, Mr. Kerr remarked on information received from the Mayor regarding <br />traffic circles and speed humps. He noted that circles need a lot of room to <br />facilitate traffic, and he feels they do not work well in residential intersections. <br /> <br />4. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />A. The City Manager reported on a recent meeting in the Washington Manor area <br />regarding the tlood.control area and indicated the City is not the Lead Agency <br />regarding this matter. He said the City is looking to Alameda County to clean the <br />channel and to take the lead in the efforts to appeal to FEMA. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Resolution Approving Name of the San Leandro Golf Complex as "Monarch Bay <br />Golf Club." <br /> <br />David Sams introduced Tom Norton and Kim Allison, from American Golf, who <br />gave a slide presentation regarding the golf complex. <br /> <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2000.126.
