The Mayor commented that, since the City Council is having their election in <br />November of this year, and various Boards and/or Commission Members' <br />appointments expire in September, she questioned whether the City Council would <br />agree to postponing appointments to Boards and/or Commissions until after <br />November. There was City Council consensus to postpone appointments to <br />Boards and Commissions until after the November Election. <br /> <br />Mayor Young, at the agreement of the balance of the City Council, designated <br />Gordon Galvan and Bob Glaze as the voting delegates for the upcoming National <br />League of Cities Conference in Boston. <br /> <br />Mayor Young thanked Council Members Loeffier and Grant for attending the <br />Farmer's Market with her and answering questions of the public. She also <br />commented that the City Council needs to designate participants for the upcoming <br />Trivia Bee. She concluded by stating there will be a Post Office Groundbreaking <br />Ceremony for the new station to be built at 14Sth and East 14th Street the first <br />week of October, and there are celebrations to be planned for the Dayton School <br />playground and John Muir Soccer Field. <br /> <br />10. CONTINUED PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Continued Public Comments is limited to the balance of speaker cards that have been <br />submitted to the City Clerk and any new speakers who have not been heard. <br />Comments will be limited to 5 minutes per speaker. <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />11. ADJOURN <br /> <br />The City Council adjourned its meeting at 8:08 p.m. in memory of Kyle Torres and <br />Lorraine J.
