PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, for a total time period of one <br />hour. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and <br />submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official <br />record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to make any comments <br />related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. <br /> <br />A. Tom Goff, Cub Scout Pack 506, addressed the City Council and invited them to <br />the Pinewood Derby on January 20,2001, at Roosevelt School, to be judges. <br /> <br />B. Wafaa Aborashed, 672 Tudor Road, thanked Joanne Lothrop for her leadership <br />in District 6. She also addressed the City Council with her displeasure with the <br />settlement and signed agreement with the Port of Oakland regarding Airport <br />issues. She stated her disagreement with certain aspects of the agreement. <br /> <br />C. Francois Gallo addressed the City Council regarding the settlement agreement <br />with the Port of Oakland regarding the Oakland Airport Expansion. <br /> <br />D. Harold Perez addressed the City Council and thanked Joanne Lothrop for the <br />great job she has done representing District 6. He continued by commenting on <br />the Airport Agreement/Settlement and stated his displeasure that only 200 homes <br />will be getting insulation from airport noise. <br /> <br />E. Tony Santos, 14495 Nassau Road, addressed the City Council and thanked <br />Joanne Lothrop for her services and leadership in District 6 and for creating the <br />West San Leandro Advisory Committee. He also thanked her for giving him the <br />opportunity to serve District 6. He wished her well in all her future endeavors. <br /> <br />F. Amanda Burk and Candice Nitto, 1146 Huff Avenue, addressed the City <br />Council regarding driveways that were damaged during the resurfacing of Huff <br />Avenue. She noted they have asked the City for help, but no one seems to be <br />helping them to get their repairs done. <br /> <br />G. Jeanine Edmond, Davis Street Community Center, addressed the City Council <br />reporting on the recent Child care Forum and noted they are forming a Task Force <br />to address childcare issues in San Leandro. <br />
