<br />Minutes- City of San Leandro City Council and <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -- December 18, 2000 <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Council Member Nardine briefly commented on remarks she has received <br />regarding the RAC (Redevelopment Advisory Committee) Election currently <br />taking place. She requested the City Manager look into the concerns that were <br />expressed. <br /> <br />D. Vice Mayor Glaze indicated he had received letters regarding the Yokota Property <br />on Marina Boulevard and the possibility of that site being listed as one with <br />historical significance and the possible need for special zoning as such. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze also remarked about Council Member Lothrop's efforts in <br />representing District 6. <br /> <br />E. Council Member Loeffler left the dais and went to the podium to make his remarks <br />regarding Council Member Lothrop's service in District 6. He thanked Council <br />Member Lothrop for being an active voice on the City Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler submitted comments, in writing, to the City Clerk and <br />the City Council regarding ideas gained from the National League of Cities <br />Conference in Boston. <br /> <br />F. Mayor Young commented on Council Member Lothrop's service over the last four <br />years and indicated Council Member Lothrop has been instrumental in bringing <br />forward many issues for District 6. <br /> <br />G. Council Member Lothrop commented she would like to see the issue of the <br />Yokota property listed on the next City Council Agenda and that childcare issues <br />for the community should be a priority for the future. <br /> <br />Council Member Lothrop then left the dais and stood at the podium to address the <br />audience regarding her four years of service as a City Council Member in San <br />Leandro and the lessons learned during her term. She thanked all of the <br />Administrative Secretaries, by department, as well as various other City personnel. <br /> <br />H. Mayor Young presented Council Member Lothrop with a plaque commemorating <br />her four years of service as a City Council Member. <br /> <br />I. In conclusion, the City Manager and City Attorney thanked and commended <br />Joanne for her service to the City. <br /> <br />10. CONTINUED PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Continued Public Comments is limited to the balance of speaker cards that have been <br />submitted to the City Clerk and any new speakers who have not been heard. <br />Comments will be limited to 5 minutes per speaker. <br /> <br />There were none. <br />
