Resolution No. 2007-077, Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a <br />Consulting Services Agreement with ExtraTeam for the Design, hnplementation, <br />Integration, and Also Purchase of Required Hardware of a Joint Microsoft and Cisco <br />Unified Communications Solution for a Citywide IP (Internet Protocol) <br />Communications System (replaces the existing phone and voicemail system). Cost: <br />$479,146. Funding: Information Management Services Fund. (2323) <br /> <br />Assistant Information Services Manager Kenton J ang gave a PowerPoint presentation, <br />describing the Citywide IP communications system proposed to be designed, purchased <br />and installed, and the selection of ExtraTeam through the request for proposals (RFP) <br />process by an RFP Evaluation Team comprised of City department representatives. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak asked whether the telephone bills will still go through <br />AT &T so that the City will receive utility taxes. Mr. Jang indicated that the City would <br />still receive an AT&T bill since the inward calls would continue to come in on AT&T <br />lines. <br /> <br />M/S/C Starosciak and Souza. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />Mayor Santos allowed Mr. Filipovich to speak on Consent Calendar items although he <br />submitted his speaker card late. <br /> <br />Public comments on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting that <br />the minutes of the May 7 and May 21, 2007, City Council meetings are meaningless <br />since they are not verbatim. Mr. Filipovich stated that he has filed letters for 10 years <br />all over the country, and only San Leandro City Attorneys have failed to respond. He <br />commented on local elections, the Brown Act, the local media's coverage of the living <br />wage issue and transit fares. <br /> <br />End of Public Comments on the Consent Calendar <br /> <br />10.
