<br />In response to Starosciak's question regarding whether Stockton or Union City would have to <br />pay back any revenues received in the past, Assistant City Manager Hollister indicated that so <br />far, both cities will only have to stop collecting the fees and no retroactive payment is due. <br /> <br />Council Member Stephens highlighted that the red light camera program has received $518k <br />through the 3rd quarter. Stephens higWighted that the annual cost on the 6 cameras is <br />approximately $432k, not including staff time. Stephens also mentioned that the red light <br />camera program's purpose is not a revenue enhancement program but one that promotes safety <br />on the roads. Grant suggested that the programs objective be reported in a footnote. <br /> <br />6. Public Comments <br />(See #1) <br /> <br />7. Committee member Comments <br />Stephens reminded the Committee that would like to discuss on re-establishing the Mayor and <br />Council's Neighborhood Empowerment Funds at the next Finance Committee. Jermanis will <br />bring back some proposed guidelines at the next Finance Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Grant requested staff to bring back a report on the Cherry Festival. <br /> <br />8.
