The Agency proposes resurrection of the CR Program in conjunction with the ASAP Program to
create a new two-tiered Commercial Fayade Improvement Program. The programs will enable
the Agency to more efficiently assist business and property owners with a variety of renovation
projects. The FY 2007-08 budget includes $450,000 in funding for the Commercial Fayade
Improvement Program - $200,000 in each of the West San Leandro/MacArthur Boulevard and
Joint Project Areas; and $50,000 in the Plaza Project Area.

CR Program loans, due to the $50,000 maximum loan amount and OP A requirement, will be
brought to the Redevelopment Agency on a case by case basis for approval.
