Staff has met with both labor and business representatives in drafting
a living wage ordinance.

Fiscal Impact
Adoption of a Living Wage Ordinance is expected to have little fiscal impact on the City in the
short-term. The effect on the cost of service contracts is expected to be minimal as prevailing
wage is already required. Longer term fiscal impacts could be felt by non-profits, financial aid
recipients and lessees as new contracts are entered into or financial thresholds are met. This may
result in request for greater assistance by the City or reduced lease revenues to the City.

Bud2et Authority
Not Applicable

Attachments
Living Wage Ordinance.
