Ms. Fernandez asked about the cost per square foot for repairs, how much
annually the City would save by making this change, and whether senior citizens would be
able to afford the repairs.

End of Public Comments on the Consent Calendar

Mayor Santos noted that previously, the cost split was 50/50. The
cost per square foot varies depending on the annual contract, but he noted that typically the
average home pays slightly less than $1,000. Mr. Jermanis commented on the liability issue
for both the City and property owner for accidents resulting from cracked or uneven
sidewalks.

Consent Calendar was amended to remove Items 8.J. and 8.K. Items will be considered
under Item 9, Items Removed from Consent Calendar.

8.
