<br />Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br />Agenda No. 07-13 <br /> <br />July 12, 2007 <br />Page 8 0/8 <br /> <br />I Item 7: Miscellaneous <br /> <br />Secretary Livermore referred to a question that arose at the June 28 meeting about <br />parking in front yards, hardscape and other concerns. Only 50% of a front yard or a <br />maximum width of 30 feet can be paved for a driveway, but there is no restriction on <br />paving a front yard as walkways or as a forn1 of landscaping. Other provisions pertinent <br />to parking include Article 4-1718 in the San Leandro Zoning Code (Restrictions on <br />Residential Parking within Required Minimum Front or Side Yards). She also cited <br />standards ("New Neighborhood Parking Rules") that can be found on the San Leandro <br />website, in the Community Compliance area of the Police Department. These new rules <br />took effect March 22,2007. <br /> <br />Commissioner Collier, who raised the issue to which Secretary Livermore responded, <br />said that the cars had been removed. <br /> <br />I Item 8: Commissioners' Comments <br />None. <br /> <br />Item 9: Staff Updates / Project Status Report <br /> <br />Secretary Livermore said that speakers' comments on the Draft ErR tonight, as well as <br />other comments via email, mail and fax, will be addressed in the Final EIR. In addition, <br />Zoning Code and General Plan amendments that would implement the TOD Strategy are <br />being developed.
