IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2007-125 (1219/3087) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) RELATING TO THE DOOLITTLE DRIVE ENTRYW A Y IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. 06-230-43-155 Recitals WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro ("City"), City of Oakland and the Port of Oakland have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU"), dated January 5, 2004 to provide an entryway statement on Doolittle Drive at the City of Oakland border, including: landscaping, irrigation, lighting and gateway monuments on Doolittle Drive between Airport Access Way and Davis Street ("Doolittle Drive Improvements"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to the MOU, the City of San Leandro was appointed the lead agency, authorized to act on behalf of the City of Oakland and the Port of Oakland; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro negotiated a cooperative agreement with Caltrans, dated December 5, 2005 ("Cooperative Agreement") to cover the improvements up to Davis Street; and WHEREAS, the City and Caltrans desire to enter into a maintenance agreement whereby the City will be responsible for maintaining the Doolittle Drive Improvements ("Maintenance Agreement"); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed the agreement and recommends approval; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: 1. That the Cooperative Agreement between Caltrans and the City of San Leandro is hereby approved. 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Maintenance Agreement.
