4~ <br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001 - 024 (2024/1408) /1413 <br />AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF THE <br />HUMAN RESOURCES COMMISSION TO THE <br />HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION, ASSIGNING ADDITIONAL <br />RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE COMMISSION, AND AMENDING <br />THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE FOR THAT PURPOSE <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the term "human resources" has <br />become, in our cultural lexicon, inextricably tied to labor and personnel issues; and <br />WHEREAS, the term "human services" more accurately and better reflects the <br />nature of the matters assigned to the Human Resources Commission of the City of San <br />Leandro; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN <br />as follows: <br />SECTION 1: <br />Section 1-3-100(d) of the San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br />(d) Human Services Commission; <br />SECTION 2: <br />The heading of Article 7 of Title 1, Chapter 3 of the San Leandro Municipal Code is <br />hereby amended as follows: <br />Article 7. Human Services Commission <br />SECTION 3: <br />Section 1-3-700 of the San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows: <br />The Human Services Commission shall consist of nine (9) members. <br />1 <br />
