Bay Trail Slough Bridge Grant Application 3 October 1, 2007 <br />• Policy 14.01--Citywide Bikeway System: Develop and maintain a citywide bikeway system <br />that effectively serves residential areas, employment centers, schools, parks, and multi-modal <br />terminals <br />• Action 14.01 B--Capital Improvement Scheduling: Maintain a schedule of capital <br />improvement priorities in the City's Bikeway Plan and update this schedule as projects are <br />completed and additional funds become available. Capital projects should be developed in <br />accordance with the design standards and priorities identified in the plan <br />• Policy 14.02--Funding: Aggressively pursue state and federal funding for bicycle and <br />pedestrian improvements, while also including funding for bicycle and pedestrian <br />improvements in the City's Capital Improvement Program <br />• Policy 18.02--Capital Improvements: Identify capital improvements and other measures that <br />improve the safety of bicyclists, pedestrians, and motor vehicles on San Leandro streets <br />• Policy 18.05--Funding: Pursue grants for the improvement of pedestrian, bicycle, and motor <br />vehicle safety.
