The Urban Runoff Clean Water Program requires that all runoff be treated to remove sediment and water borne pollutants prior to discharge into a public facility. Examples of control measures include, but are not limited to: routing of pavement and roof runoff through vegetated swales, planter boxes, vegetated filter strips or landscaped areas in lieu of direct hydraulic connection to the storm drain system; structural control measures, such as bioretention areas, subsurface media filters, manufactured treatment controls or other methods that may be proposed by the applicant and approved by the City Engineer to intercept and pretreat storm water prior to discharging to the storm drain system. M. To control storm water pollution, the Applicant shall comply with the regulations and provisions contained in the City's Grading Ordinance, the City's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Permit, and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), to the satisfaction of the City Engineer and Regional Water Quality Control Board. N. During construction the following high standards for sanitation are required: Garbage cans, construction dumpsters, and debris piles shall be removed on a minimum weekly basis. All food related trash items such as wrappers, cans, bottles, and food scraps shall be disposed of in closed containers only and shall be regularly removed from the site. Inspections, conducted as part of the regular construction compliance, will be conducted to ensure compliance of the Subdivider and contractors with this requirement. O. All on-site storm drain inlets must be labeled "No Dumping -Drains to Bay" using thermo- plastic paint or approved methods. P. The Applicant shall provide a covered trash enclosure. Wash water shall filter through lawn areas prior to entering the storm drain system. Q. Undergrounding of Utilities: All utilities on-site shall be installed to underground facilities including service connections. Appurtenant facilities shall be flush type rather than above grade pedestals. R. Applicant shall protect the existing street trees during construction, and shall maintain street trees removed and replaced for construction for not less than three years or until the trees are well established. New street tree locations shall be approved by the City Engineer and Community Development Services Director. IV.
