construct new City standard curb, gutter and sidewalk in the same location and/or <br />alignment as the existing concrete improvements. <br />L. The Urban Runoff Clean Water Program requires that all runoff be treated to <br />remove sediment and water borne pollutants prior to discharge into a public <br />facility. Examples of control measures include, but are not limited to: routing of <br />pavement and roof runoff through vegetated swales, planter boxes, vegetated filter <br />strips or landscaped areas in lieu of direct hydraulic connection to the storm drain <br />system; structural control measures, such as bioretention areas, subsurface media <br />filters, manufactured treatment controls or other methods that may be proposed by <br />the applicant and approved by the City Engineer to intercept and pretreat storm <br />water prior to discharging to the storm drain system. Examples of appropriate site <br />design features, source control measures and post-construction stormwater treatment <br />controls can be found on the Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program (ACCWP) <br />website: www.cleanwaterpro ram.org. <br />M. To control storm water pollution, the Applicant shall comply with the regulations <br />and provisions contained in the City's Grading Ordinance, the City's Storm Water <br />Pollution Prevention Permit, and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System (NPDES), to the satisfaction of the City Engineer and Regional Water <br />Quality Control Board. <br />N. During construction the following high standards for sanitation are required: <br />Garbage cans, construction dumpsters, and debris piles shall be removed on a <br />minimum weekly basis. All food related trash items such as wrappers, cans, bottles, <br />and food scraps shall be disposed of in closed containers only and shall be regularly <br />removed from the site. Inspections, conducted as part of the regular construction <br />compliance, will be conducted to ensure compliance of the Subdivider and <br />contractors with this requirement. <br />O. All on-site storm drain inlets must be labeled "No Dumping -Drains to Bay" <br />using thermo- plastic paint or approved methods. <br />P. The Applicant shall provide a covered trash enclosure. Wash water shall filter <br />through lawn areas prior to entering the storm drain system. <br />Q. Undergrounding of Utilities: All utilities on-site shall be installed to underground <br />facilities including service connections. Appurtenant facilities shall be flush type <br />rather than above grade pedestals. <br />R. Applicant shall protect the existing street trees during construction, and shall <br />maintain street trees removed and replaced for construction for not less than three <br />years or until the trees are well established. New street tree locations shall be <br />approved by the City Engineer and Community Development Services Director. <br />IV.
