Also, City <br />staff will serve on the Everyone Home Leadership Board. <br />The City of San Leandro supports homeless and special needs service providers with CDBG and <br />General Funds. During FY 2008-09, the City will help fund operating costs for programs that <br />provide homeless services. Over the years, the City has continued to support agencies such as <br />the San Leandro Shelter for Women and Children (for homeless and victims of domestic abuse) <br />and Davis Street Family Resource Center (a community social service center) to provide such <br />homeless services. The City will also continue to support services that help prevent homelessness <br />such as landlord/tenant counseling and fair housing services through CDBG funds and the Rental <br />Assistance Program (which offers security deposit or delinquent rental payment assistance to <br />eligible households with hardship issues) funded by the General Fund. The City will also support <br />the implementation of the Everyone Home Plan by providing funds for County staff expenses <br />associated with the Plan. <br />OTHER PROGRAMS <br />To implement its housing and community development goals, the City will continue to seek out <br />funding opportunities generated from federal, State and local sources as well as public and <br />private sources. <br />Draft Action Plan - FY2008-09 <br />City of San Leandro <br />Page 11 <br />
