Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br /> <br />No reportable action taken. <br /> <br /> <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Councilmember Souza reported that she attended a meeting of the Alameda County Fire <br />Commission, at which the Commission toured the County Fire dispatch center. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak reported on a meeting of the CMA, which was held today. <br />The CMA discussed the Central County Freeway Study and reviewed the financially <br />constrained Local Area Transportation Improvement Plan. She commented that both <br />the Marina and Davis overpasses are still in the plan. Councilmember Starosciak <br />reported on a presentation of the Travel Choice Program, put on by the Transportation <br />and Land Use Coalition, to get residents in Alameda and the Fruitvale District to shift <br />their modes of transportation from single occupancy vehicles. The presenter indicated <br />that the next program will be performed with 7,000-9,000 households near the <br />Downtown TOD in San Leandro. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Grant reported that she attended the San Leandro/Oakland Job Faire on <br />behalf of Mayor Santos. She commented that the event was very impressive and <br />provided a great community service. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos reported that the Alameda County Transportation Authority (ACTA) <br />unded at $111 million. Mayor Santos <br />has provided the City Manager with a historical list of ACTA and ACTIA projects <br />dating back to 1986. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak reported that the League of California Cities East Bay <br />Division had an excellent meeting at Paradiso on February 21. Carl Guardino, President <br />and CEO of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, addressed the group regarding what <br />local businesses are looking for from local governments, such as housing, transportation <br />and education. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos reported that the Alameda County Waste Management Authority is still <br />looking for a compost site, and is discussing whether the 75% diversion goal by 2010 <br />can be attained. <br /> <br />B.
