What Makes Cities Work:
An East Bay BART Tour
Last September, the City of San Leandro approved an
ambitious plan for new homes, jobs, and shops near BART.
The 16-acre area is slated to contain 700 new homes, 15% of
which will be affordable, as well as office and retail space.
To envision what the plan could become, the Great
Communities Collaborative and local partners have orga-
nized a tour for San Leandro decision-makers and members
of the community. Join us as we hop on BART to explore
attractive, equitable East Bay communities designed with
pedestrians and transit riders in mind. Both lunch and a
BART card will be provided.
What: Smart Growth Tour of East Bay Cities, a Greenbelt Alliance Urban Outing
When: Saturday, April 12,10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: San Leandro BART Station, 1401 San Leandro Boulevard, San Leandro
RSVP: Lunch is free for those who respond by Friday, April 4.
