Minute Order No. 2008-011, Resolution Commending Michael Munoz for His Years <br />of Service on the Personnel Relations Board. (1016) <br />The City Council approved the resolution commending Michael Munoz for his <br />years of service on the Personnel Relations Board. <br />M/S/C Souza and Prola. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />Michael Munoz was not present to receive the resolution, and it will be mailed to him. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS-CITY COUNCIL <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br />None. <br />4. PUBLIC HEARINGS-JOINT CITY COUNCIL/ REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />None. <br />5. The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT <br />listed on the Agenda. <br />Karma McKinley, representing Green Sangha, an environmental action group, addressed <br />the City Council, commenting on actions San Leandro can take to address global warming. <br />Ms. McKinley commented on the severity of the climate change problem, and acknowledged <br />the City Council for the actions it has already taken to address the issue, including its <br />intention to develop a Climate Action Plan. Ms. McKinley urged the Council to consider its <br />Climate Action Plan by Earth Day. <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the <br />March 17, 2008 City Council meeting and a recent Candidate Forum. Mr. Filipovich <br />commented that at the March 17 City Council meeting, he asked several questions regarding <br />redevelopment that were not reflected in the minutes. <br />
