Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into a Memorandum of <br />Understanding Between the City of San Leandro and Kaiser Permanente Relating to the <br />Interstate 880/Marina Boulevard Interchange Project and the Medical-Retail Complex <br />(provides acceptance of Kaiser's fair share for the cost of improving the I-880/Marina <br />Boulevard Interchange). Resolution No. 2008-035, Resolution Approving a Contractual Services Agreement <br />with TJKM Traffic Consultants Relating to the Development of a Traffic Impact Fee for <br />the Marina Boulevard/I-880 Interchange, Project No. 120-28-172 (provides for the <br />preparation of a traffic study that allocates the source of future demand for the Marina <br />Boulevard/I-880 Interchange to new development throughout the City for the <br />development of a traffic impact fee). Cost: $36,920. Funding: Development Fee for <br />Street Improvements (DFSI) Fund. (2323) <br />Councilmember Starosciak asked how Items 8.F. and 8.H. relate to each other. Mr. <br />Jermanis reported that staff has analyzed and determined that Kaiser's fair share of the <br />cost of the I-880/Marina Boulevard interchange improvements is about $5 million. Item <br />8.H. is the City's acceptance of Kaiser's agreement to pay this amount. Mr. Jermanis <br />indicated that the money will be given to the Congestion Management Agency (CMA) <br />and used to advance the design work on the interchange. He stated that the total cost of <br />
