IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-067 (3133) <br />RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT TO MCGUIRE AND HESTER FOR THE <br />DOWNTOWN LIGHTING AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS, <br />PROJECT NO. 07-961-83-054 <br />Recitals <br />The City of San Leandro did, on May 9, 2008, publicly open, examine and declare all <br />sealed proposals or bids for doing the work described in Resolution No. 2008-033 of the Council <br />of said City adopted on April 7, 2008, which resolution is hereby expressly referred to for a <br />description of said work and for all particulars relative to the proceedings under said resolution. <br />Said proposals were submitted to the Engineering and Transportation Director who has <br />recommended that the proposal hereinafter mentioned is the lowest responsive bid for doing said <br />work. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said City Council hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except that herein <br />mentioned, and hereby waives any irregularities in the proposal or bid of the lowest responsible <br />bidder, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work to the lowest responsible bidder <br />therefore, to wit: McGuire and Hester, at the prices named in its bid on file in the Office of the <br />City Clerk. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Grant and passed and adopted this 16th day of June, 2008, <br />by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Grant, Gregory, Prola, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Santos ~~) <br />NOES: None ~0) <br />ABSENT: None ~0) <br />l U: ~L1 ~~~,L1~'u~.~%~ <br />ATTEST: _ ~ L~ <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
