Section 7-5-845: FAILURE TO COMPLY; VACATION; DEMOLITION. Should the record <br />owner fail to comply with the orders described in Sections 7-5-820 and 7-5-840 or with any other <br />orders issued by the Building Official pursuant to this Article, the Building official shall order <br />the entire building vacated until the order has been complied with. If the building is not vacated <br />within ninety (90) days after the date of the order, the building maybe deemed a public nuisance <br />and the Building Official may order the demolition of the building in accordance with Article 11 <br />of this Chapter 5. <br />Section 7-5-850: ORDERS• SERVICE; RECORDATION; APPEAL; ENFORCEMENT. <br />(a) Any order issued by the Building Official pursuant to this Article in addition to <br />the order described in Section 7-5-820, shall be served and recorded in the manner <br />set forth in Sections 7-5-825 and 7-5-830, respectively. <br />(b) Any order issued by the Building Official pursuant to this Article maybe appealed <br />by any person having any record interest in the building in the manner set forth in <br />Article 12 of this Chapter 5 within fifteen (15) calendar days, sixty (60) calendar <br />days for orders described in Section 7-5-820 from the date of service of the notice <br />and order. All appeals shall be conducted consistent with and be subject to <br />provisions of Article 12 of this Chapter 5; provided, however, any determination <br />of the Board of Appeals maybe appealed to the City Council by any person <br />having any record interest in the building, by filing a written notice of appeal with <br />the City Clerk within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date such determination <br />was mailed or personally delivered to the appellant. <br />(c) Any order issued by the Building Official, or the Board of Appeals shall be <br />enforceable in the manner set forth in Article 13 of this Chapter 5. <br />Section 7-5-855: ANALYSIS AND DESIGN. <br />(a) General. Every building not meeting the minimum standard for seismic resistance <br />established by this Article shall be analyzed and constructed to resist minimum <br />total lateral seismic forces assumed to act nonconcurrently in the direction of each <br />of the main axes of the structure in accordance with the following equation: <br />V = 0.133W (1) <br />[See Table 6 of this Article for explanation of symbols] <br />(b) Lateral Forces on Elements of Structures. Parts or portions of buildings shall be <br />analyzed and designed for lateral loads in accordance with subsection (a) above <br />and Section 2312(e) of the Uniform Building Code but not less than the value <br />from the following equation: <br />Fp = CpWp (2) <br />5 <br />
