Section 3-3-100: ADOPTION. <br />Except as hereafter specifically set forth, the "California Building Standards Code, 2001 edition" is <br />amended and that certain document entitled "Uniform Fire Code, 2000 Edition", as published bythe <br />Western Fire Chiefs Association, is hereby adopted, along with the following appendixes: <br />a. I-A "Life-Safety Requirements for Existing Buildings Other Than High Rise" -Sections 1-7 <br />(Excluding 1.2 of Section 1); <br />b. I-C "Stairway Identification" -Sections 1-4; <br />c. II-A "Suppression and Control of Hazardous Fire Areas" -Sections 1-24; <br />d. II-B "Protection of Flammable and Combustible Liquid Tanks in Locations Subject to <br />Flooding" -Sections 1-7; <br />e. II-C "Marinas" -Sections 1-8; <br />£ II-D "Rifle Ranges" -Sections 1-7; <br />g. II-H "Site Assessments for Determining Potential Fire and Explosion Risks From <br />Underground Flammable or Combustible Liquid Tank Leaks" -Sections 1-3; <br />h. II-I "Ozone Gas-Generating Equipment" -Sections 1-7; <br />i. II-K "Non-protected Aboveground Steel Tanks for Private Motor Vehicle Fuel-Dispensing <br />Stations Outside Buildings" -Sections 1-8; <br />j. III-A "Fire-Flow Requirements for Buildings" -Sections 1-5; <br />k. III-B "Fire Hydrant Locations and Distribution" -Sections 1-5; <br />1. VI-D "Emergency Relief Venting for Fire Exposure for Aboveground Tanks"; <br />t. VI-G "Reference Tables from the Uniform Building Code"; <br />u. VI-H "Recommended Separation Distances for Explosive Materials" -Sections 1-2; <br />v. VI-I "Cryogenic Fluids Weight and Volume Equivalents"; <br />w. VI-J "Refrigerant Groups and Properties"; and <br />x. VI-K "Unit Conversion Tables", <br />as the Fire Code of the City of San Leandro. However, in accordance with California Government <br />Code Section 50222.4, no penalty clauses are adopted by reference. In the event an amendment to <br />the California Building Standards Code results in differences between these building standards and <br />the California Building Standards Code, the text of these building standards shall govern. In <br />accordance with California Health and Safety Code Section 17958.7, express findings that <br />modifications to the California Building Standards Code are reasonably necessary because of local <br />climatic, geological or topographical conditions are either already on file with the California <br />Building Standards Commission, or will be filed prior to the effective date of this Ordinance.
