~„~,; <br />,`,,~};.)i~~~~~r3ii~ Tip tC3 ~®rYYO ' <br />r~ a /~+ <br />!,~Cvi"t~,y=1"~ - c NIE, Cnunty'VOUnSeI . <br />QRDINANCE NO. 0-2007-48 i:~t <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 6.114 TO TI LE <br />OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE COUNTY OF AL <br />RELATING TO EMERGENCY MIEDICAL SERVICES' <br />The Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda ordains as follows: <br />SECTION 1 <br />FINDINGS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Division 2.5 of the Health and Safety Code, Section <br />1797.200, et seq., th® County of Alameda has designated the Alameda County <br />Emergency Medical Services District (COUNTY) to be the local Emergency Medical <br />Services (EMS) Agency for the purpose of the administration of local EMS services; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Division 2,5 of the Health and Safety Code Sections 1797.224 and <br />1797.85 allows the COUNTY to create Exclusive Operating Areas to restrict "~ <br />operations to on® or more providers of emergency ambulance services and <br />Advanced Life Supporl (ALS) services in the development of an emergency medical <br />services plan; and <br />WHEREAS, providers of 9-1-1 ALS ®mergency ambulance service are regulated <br />through contracts; and <br />WHEREAS, emergency and non-emergency Critical Care Transport services, and <br />' emergency and non-emergency Basic Life Support transport services have been <br />unregulated; <br />Now therefore, the COUNTY has developed this Ambulance Ordinance. <br />SECTION II <br />AMENDMENT OF ORDINANCE CODE <br />Chapter 6.114 is added to Title 6 of the Ordinance Code of the County of Alameda to <br />read as follows: <br />ARTICLE I ~ ~ "~~ '~ <br />GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />6.114.010 TITLE <br />~ The numbering of the text (i.e., 8.114.010, etc.) may change when It Is placed in the Ordinance Code. The <br />ordinance will be in Chapter 6 of the Ordinance Code, but the articles mey be numbered differently. <br />3 <br />
