The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest <br />listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Richard Beckett, San Leandro resident <br />, representing the Best Manor Homeowners <br />Association and Farrelly Pond Neighborhood Association, addressed the City Council, <br />providing copies of a presentation he made to the Recreation and Parks Commission <br />regarding the ne <br />desire to collaborate with the City on a Take Back Siempre Verde Park and <br />commented that the neighbors would like to see the park better maintained and be a safer <br />place for children to play. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident <br />, addressed the City Council regarding election items <br />on the City Council meeting Consent Calendar. Mr. Filipovich disputed the validity of the <br />certification of the election results. <br /> <br /> <br /> 6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Jermanis commented on the issues reported by Vice Mayor Stephens at a previous <br />the Recreation <br />and Parks Commission, the Police Department and the Public Works Services maintenance <br />division to address the problems at Siempre Verde Park, and will also look into the issue of <br />alcohol use in the parks. Mr. Jermanis expressed appreciation to Mr. Beckett and other <br />residents for bringing these issues forward and working with the City to resolve them. <br /> <br />
