IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 97 - 028 (1007 ) <br />ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY (PIKE <br />AVENUE -APPROXIMATELY 395 FEET ± WEST OF WICKS BOULEVARD TO <br />GRIFFITH STREET) <br />Recitals <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro, on August 4, 1997, passed its <br />Resolution of Intention No 97-103 to vacate a portion of Pike Avenue as hereinafter <br />described. <br />A public hearing was set for September 2, 1997, at which time any person <br />objecting to such vacations was given the opportunity to appear and show cause why such <br />vacations should not be ordered, and notice of such meeting was duly published and <br />posted. <br />Such hearing was held by the City Council on September 2, 1997, and the City <br />Council at the time of such hearing determined that said portion of Pike Avenue are <br />unnecessary for present and prospective public use. <br />The San Leandro Planning Commission has found that the proposed vacations <br />conform to the requirements of the San Leandro General Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN <br />as follows: <br />Section 1. That a portion of Pike Avenue located within the City of San <br />Leandro, Alameda County, California, is unnecessary for present or prospective public <br />use and said portion of Pike Avenue is hereby vacated and abandoned, said portion of <br />
