Shoreline-Marina Committee Meeting of July 7, 2008.

Public Comments on Shoreline-Marina Committee Highlights:

Robert Tally, San Leandro resident,
and former member of the Downtown
Transit-Oriented Development Citizens Advisory Committee (TOD CAC),
addressed the City Council, commenting that there are other regulatory agencies
that may have a say in the Shoreline-Marina development. Mr. Tally suggested
that City staff advise the new committee members as to the jurisdictions of these
agencies and the development constraints that could be imposed. Regarding the
makeup of the committee, Mr. Tally suggested that the Council may wish to
consider limiting voting membership to members of the public not connected
officially to the City, and have those connected to the City serve as ex-officio
members. Mr. Tally suggested appointing a smaller committee than the
Downtown TOD CAC, which was not conducive to full participation due to its
size.

End of Public Comments on Shoreline-Marina Committee Highlights
Mr. Jermanis commented on the Shoreline Citizens Advisory Committee, noting
that many members of the community have already interest expressed interest in
the Committee.

Councilmember Starosciak expressed her appreciation
comments, and for pointing out the development constraints. She noted that the
consultant has prepared a document which lists the development constraints, and it
is accessible to the Citizens Advisory Committee members
