(2318) <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak asked if there was a change to the law requiring auto <br />expense reimbursement rather than an allowance. City Attorney Williams commented <br />on AB 1234, which set requirements on reimbursement for travel expenses. Mr. <br />Jermanis added that while auto allowances can still be issued, they are treated as taxable <br />income. He pointed out that there are income limits imposed by State law on City <br />Councilmembers that do not apply to the Mayor, whose salary is set by the Council. <br /> <br />M/S/C Prola and Grant.
