Any organization should work on quality and consistency and this would be true for Davis Street. Expanding is good but if the agency continues to have staff turnovers in key positions, I worry about the foundation. One person cannot effectively manage the whole agency. they are very positive and have come a long, long way. no input Board performance is a concern in that the board is the community persons of Davis Street. Find major contributors such as large corporations, and possibly other foundations for grant money The entity is not as strong as it appears. The board nees to more actively support Davis Street. Im not sure that most of the board the people involved could create a capital fundraising effort, it would be interesting to challenge them. I have suggested in the past the idea of having an Advisory Board. The Advisory Board would consist of members of the community who don't have time for more than perhaps one meeting per year but because of their board membership would have an incentive to donate more to the organization. I have worked with an organization in San Francisco that has been very successful in this regard We are working with the non-profit Taproot to revitalize the agency's Annual Report.
