Some board members have strong alliances and can influence funders. I cannot give that support. My <br />monetary donations are minimal. <br />this is relatively new -looking for money to buy building. focus on people who will provide the bigger <br />money <br />This is a area we are working on with Rose to get the needed funging. The purchuse of the building is <br />number one on the list. Many of the members are looking for new donors and foundation who will give to <br />the project. <br />The board has not as yet been involved in a capital campaign. <br />We are in the process of starting a major capital campaign. This will be coming up at our Strategic <br />Planning session in March <br />Need guidance/plan and a fire lit under them <br />The board will discuss this and other issues at it's board retreat in March. <br />I am very involved in the strategy and execution of our capital campaign I am directly involved in working <br />with numerous sources to provide the nessesary funds to purchase our building including the city of san <br />Leandro county of alameda the valley foundation and individuals <br />I have not <br />Where can the Board's performance be improved? <br />growing the board membership <br />For myself, I cannot donated more time and resources because I have a full time challege at work. <br />there is a particular board member that he is unproductive, and there are sevearl others about to join that <br />will be joining shortly and they should be very productive. <br />Leadership from board president and vice president <br />Better attendance at meetings. Activating the committees of the Board. Better involvement in ongoing <br />projects. Also, in supporting Davis Street financially...one of the reugirements of the board membership. <br />The board needs to have more active members come onboard <br />Fundraising/drawing in potential directors with the ability or wealth to do so. <br />The board needs to attract new corporate and business members <br />could use more members and more members with corporate connections <br />Increased representation of minority groups, more corporate involvement <br />What other opinions about or suggestions for DSFRC would you like to share with us? <br />there is no question that DSFRC is worthy...is the message in the agency video, commissioned a few years <br />ago. please see it. <br />Sustainability Study: Davis Street Family Resource Center - 4/08 Page 91 of 96 <br />
