We came to these conclusions by visiting the organization on several occastions, <br />observing their space and engaging in dialogue with senior staff. <br />We are fortunate to have DSFRC part of the San Leandro community. DS is the primary source for general <br />social service needs in San Leandro <br />During the site visit we were able to see for ourselves the comprehensive nature of their services <br />High Quality <br />DSFRC has over the years enhance and expended their services capacity to address program particpants <br />needs as well as involving those in the community that can volunteer or support program serices costs by <br />contributing funds. <br />Please share your opinion about the responsiveness and capabilities of DSFRC's management and <br />staff (please include a description of how you came to have this opinion) <br />Varied, but generally good. Top leadership is very good <br />I believe that Davis Street management and staff is top-notch. They have always been responsive and <br />accomodating in my dealings with them and in fact, at our request, they hosted the Foundation's entire <br />Board and Staff for a site visit in September of 2007 that was extremely well received by our trustees and <br />staff. Rose is an extremely effective communicator and good at telling the story of Davis Street and <br />responding to questions. Similary, we were impressed by the high level of engagement by two Davis Street <br />board members who also attended the visit. <br />DSFRC was very honest in their fmal report to us in describing some of their challenges in finding <br />culturally competent staff for their medical clinic and how they were able to recruit the appropriate staff <br />through a different path <br />Very competent leadership. Visionary, creative, resourceful and always looking ahead to meet needs. As <br />stated above, it is not always easy to receive a response in regards to administrative matters <br />Very responsive <br />I live and work in Alameda County and am familiar with DSFRC from their start at David Street and their <br />growth and development during past years and continuation at the Teagardan Family Resource Center <br />What other opinions about or suggestions for DSFRC would you like to share with us? <br />Growth and expansion of services has been consistent.
