Sustainability Project
The Davis Street Family Resource Center
Summary Report - 4/08
INTRODUCTION
This report loosely follows the format of the original proposal. Its main focus is to
summarize Davis Street Family Resource Center's (DSFRC) business condition with
regards to sustainability, and is followed by more detailed, supporting information in the
Appendices.
Our guiding definition of sustainability:
Sustainability is the ability of an organization to assure the community, their staff, Board,
and their financial backers that they can be counted on to fulfill their mission today, and
in the future.
We approached our analysis of sustainability by reviewing areas of DSFRC's operations
that make the greatest impact on:
• Financial stability, both current and projected
• Its operational ability to efficiently deliver its main services to those in need
Renaissance Financial Group (contact person: Rob Kirby) is the author of the Financial
section of this report. Lisa Nichols, a Business Development Consultant, is the author of
the Operations section of this report.
Sustainability Study: Davis Street Family Resource Center - 4/08 Page 3 of 96
