Info updated ongoingly. Doctors cover for each other by working longer <br />hours. There is no formal training (doctors generally don't need professional training), <br />but check-ins with Ms. Cheng occur a few times per week. <br />The Counseling manual is very well written and relatively comprehensive, but not <br />completely current. The intern manual is very useful because of annual turnover -and is <br />used for training purposes. Counseling interns can't cover each other's cases, by design. <br />Supervisors can fill in for each other. <br />Ms. Cheng's position is unique. Some other executive staff and her senior supervisors <br />could substitute for her if she were to become unavailable and her department's <br />operational routines and manuals ensure relatively smooth operations. These manuals <br />need to be brought up to date.
