WHEREAS, the Agency desires to approve the afore-referenced Cooperation Agreement <br />between the Agency and City whereby the Agency will provide funds for the design and <br />construction of the Project; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro as follows: <br />Section 1: The Board of Directors hereby finds that (i) the expenditure of Agency <br />funds to undertake the Project as set forth in this Resolution and the Implementation Plan <br />heretofore adopted by the Agency for the Project Area will be of benefit to the Project Area, (ii) <br />no other reasonable means of fmancing the Project is reasonably available, (iii) completion of the <br />Project will eliminate blighting conditions in the Project Area; and (iv) completion of the Project <br />is consistent with the Implementation Plan. <br />Section 2: The Agency Board hereby approves the Cooperation Agreement between <br />the Agency and the City, attached hereto as Exhibit "A," whereby the Agency has agreed to <br />provide City with fmancial assistance with regard to the design and construction of the Project. <br />Section 3: The Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to execute the <br />Cooperation Agreement on behalf of the Agency. <br />Introduced by Agency Board Member Stephens and passed and adopted by the Board of <br />Directors of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro at a regular meeting duly <br />held on the 2"d day of September, 2008, by the following vote: <br />Members of the Agency Board of Directors: <br />AYES: Members Grant, Gregory, Prola, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens; Chair Santos (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None <br />ATTEST: ~~` ~~ ~'~1 ~~~'~ <br />Marian Handa, Agency Secretary <br />(0) <br />RESOLUTION N0.2008-021 RDA 2 <br />
