IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - RESOLUTION DISCONTINUING THE REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (RAC) FOR THE CITY Of SAN LEANDRO PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA/CITY OF SAN LEANDRO PROJECT AREA AND REPEALING CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 2004-029 WHEREAS, the City Council, sitting as the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro, adopted Resolution No. 2000-029 on October 16, 2000 approving procedures for the voluntary formation of a Redevelopment Advisory Committee (RAC) for the City of San Leandro Portion of the Joint Alameda County/City of San Leandro Redevelopment Project Area; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro adopted Resolution No. 2004- 026 on February 17, 2004, approving continuation of a Redevelopment Advisory Committee for the City of San Leandro portion of the County of Alameda/City of San Leandro Redevelopment Project Area; and WHEREAS, the RAC -was established with the primary purpose of prioritizing the goals, objectives and programs for implementing the Redevelopment Plan for the County of Alameda/City of San Leandro Redevelopment Project Area; and WHEREAS, said goals, objectives and programs have been well established over the years and the current duties of the RAC duplicate the efforts of both the Planning Commission and the City Council Business and Housing Development Committee; and WHEREAS, the City Council Rules and Communications Committee, as recommended by staff ,recommend dissolving the RAC;
