DRAFT MINUTES Page 10 October 6, 2008 City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting Councilmember Starosciak expressed appreciation to staff for providing the list in the th staff report of the activities the City has undertaken. She attended the 50 Anniversary of Marina Mechanical, at which the company showcased its new cold storage unit technology. Councilmember Starosciak commented that the Congestion Management Agency (CMA) now provides some of its board members with a meeting agenda packet on a flash drive. (Councilmember Stephens arrived at 8:36 p.m.) Councilmember Prola suggested that when the streets are resurfaced, he would like to see more bike lanes created. He also suggested that the City have more hybrid pool vehicles, and offer discounted transit passes to its employees. B. Public Works Department Annual Report. Public Works Services Director Mike Bakaldin gave the history behind the Public Works Annual Report, which is a video slideshow set to music. Mr. Bakaldin noted -year reorganization, which without additional cost to the City. The Council viewed the third Annual Report, which highlighted the employees in each division and their job responsi promoted employees. C. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken No reportable action taken. 11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies Councilmember Souza reported that she attende recognition ceremony. Councilmember Starosciak reported that she was elected the at-large director of the LOCC East Bay Division along with Alameda Vice Mayor Lena Tam. She reported that the new chair and vice chair of the CMA are Union City Mayor Mark Green and Alameda Mayor Beverly Johnson, respectively. Councilmember Starosciak reported on two project groundbreakings this month: the I-580/Redwood Road interchange and the Ardenwood Park and Ride.
