Analysis <br />A "Request for Qualifications" (RFQ) was published in January 2008. The City invited the top <br />four qualified firms to participate in the "Request for Proposals" (RFP) process in April 2008. <br />Based upon experience, the interview, and the proposal, Carollo Engineers was selected as the <br />most qualified firm. Carollo Engineers is a design firm with over 75 years of water treatment <br />rehabilitation and design experience. Recent design projects include the "Water Quality Control <br />Plant Improvement and Effluent Storage Pond Project" for the City of South San Francisco, <br />"Wet Weather Improvements Project" for the Central Marin Sanitation Agency, and "Truckee <br />Meadows Water Reclamation Facility Expansion Project" for the City of Reno. <br />Current City Council Policy <br />Ensure well maintained sewer facilities. <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br />Not Applicable <br />City Council Committee Review and Action <br />Not Applicable <br />Applicable General Plan Policy <br />Policy 52.05: Maintain adequate capacity at the San Leandro wastewater treatment plant to <br />accommodate projected levels of growth within the service area and encourage the Oro Loma <br />Sanitary District to do the same. <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br />Not Applicable <br />Environmental Review <br />A CEQA determination will be completed during the design of the project. <br />Code Compliance Review <br />Not Applicable <br />Board/Commission Findings <br />Not Applicable <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />Not Applicable <br />
