DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 9 <br />December 1, 2008 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />recommended that the City Council select Option III, which would approve a modified <br />dredging of the Marina. <br /> <br />Mr. Udemezue responded to questions from the Council. <br /> <br /> Minute Order No. 2008-029 <br />, Motion Selecting Option III and Directing City <br />Staff to Work with the Army Corps of Engineers (COE) to Partially Dredge the <br />Marina. (3127) <br /> <br />The City Council selected Option III for dealing with the Marina dredging <br />issue and directed City staff to work with the Army Corps of Engineers <br />(COE) to partially dredge the Marina. <br /> <br />M/S/C Prola and Starosciak. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br /> <br />D.Report on Closed Session Actions Taken on November 17, 2008 and December 1, 2008 <br /> <br />City Attorney Jayne Williams stated that no reportable action was taken in the closed <br />session on November 17, 2008, and in the closed session held earlier this evening. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br /> <br />A.Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak reported that the Alameda County Congestion Management <br />Agency (ACCMA) received a draft report on the concept of a truck parking facility in <br />Alameda County. Due to concerns that trucks have no central location in which to park <br />legally, ACCMA initiated a study on possible locations. The report indicated that truck <br />drivers prefer locations close to their customers and in the vicinity of I-238 and I-880. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos reported that Stopwaste.org has named Gary Wolf as its new Executive <br />Director. <br /> <br /> <br />B.Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak reported that she attended the recent League of California <br />Cities Legislative Briefing in Emeryville. <br /> <br /> <br />C.Reports on Empowerment Funds <br /> <br />Councilmember Souza reported that she contributed $500 from her Community <br />Empowerment Funds to Building Futures with Women and Children for their holiday <br />programs. <br /> <br /> <br />
