Hollister, City Manager <br />Jacqui Diaz, Interim Assistant City Manager <br />APPROVED AND <br />FORWARDED <br />TO CITY COUNCIL <br />Stephen Hollister <br />City Manager <br />Kathy Ornelas, Community Relations Representative <br />SUBJECT PROJECT/PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br />RESOLUTION ADDING THE SAN LEANDRO EDUCATION FOUNDATION TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL APPROVED COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT FUND RECIPIENTS <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that the San Leandro Education Foundation be added to the list of City <br />Council Approved Community Empowerment Fund Recipients. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Analysis <br />The San Leandro Education Foundation is a new group of parents, business owners and other <br />interested individuals organized to support schools, students and teachers in San Leandro. The <br />San Leandro Education Foundation has been certified as a non-profit organization by the <br />California Secretary of State's Office. <br />Current City Council Policy <br />The Community Empowerment Fund Guidelines in the Council Members Handbook allow for <br />the addition of community groups or organizations to the list of approved Community <br />Empowerment Fund Recipients with City Council approval. <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br />None <br />City Council Committee Review and Action <br />None <br />Applicable General Plan Policy <br />N/A <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br />N/A <br />Environmental Review <br />N/A <br />
