Review of Process and Timeline for Selection of Redevelopment Advisory Committee <br />Membership <br />City Manager Hollister introduced the item and Business Development Manager Battenberg <br />provided the Committee with an explanation of the process to discontinue the West San <br />Leandro -MacArthur Boulevard (WSL) and the Alameda County-City of San Leandro <br />(Joint) Redevelopment Advisory Committees (RAC) and replace them with one RAC which <br />will provide input on planning documents and major projects in all three redevelopment <br />areas, including housing set-aside activities. <br />In October, the Agency adopted a Resolution to create a new RAC with 10 members. <br />Outreach information, including a draft of a letter to all business and property owners within <br />the Redevelopment Project Areas, and residents living within 500 feet of the Project Areas <br />was distributed for comment. Additional outreach efforts will include press releases to the <br />Daily Review and the San Leandro Times, a notice on the City's website, notices to <br />homeowners associations and business associations in or near a redevelopment project area, <br />and outreach to individuals suggested by City Council. Applications will also be sent to the <br />former members of the WSL and Joint RACs. <br />The process of selecting RAC members was reviewed along with the timeline for the <br />selection process. <br />
