CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />Councilmember Souza led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />B. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Members Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Santos <br />ABSENT: None <br />2. PRESENTATIONS/ RECOGNITIONS <br />A. Recognition of the Employee of the Quarter, Jane Kuang Lo, Senior Engineering Aide, <br />Engineering and Transportation Department. <br />Jane Lo was present to receive her award. <br />B. Proclamation Declaring January 2009 as "National Blood Donor Month" in San <br />Leandro. <br />Councilmember Gregory, on behalf of the American Red Cross-Blood Services, <br />accepted the National Blood Donor Month proclamation presented by Mayor Santos. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS--CITY COUNCIL <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br />A. Matter of Public Hearing Regarding Resolution Determining that the Public Interest and <br />Necessity Require the Acquisition of Property Interests at 2550 Davis Street for the <br />Water Pollution Control Plant Expansion Project, Project No, 07-593-52-227 (provides <br />for expansion of the Water Pollution Control Plant). <br />
