openings, market availability, available incentive programs for retailers and other emerging opportunities. <br />The website is a digital resource the City of San Leandro and Downtown San Leandro Property Owners to <br />access and view the leasing brochure, renderings, space plans, photographs, maps, aerials, property <br />availability, leasing contact information and special events. <br />Press ReleaseslLeasing FYI Folders/Broker Communications <br />The well-timed and targeted press releases -including, but not limited to: new store announcements, grand <br />openings and positive print media relating to the trade area will be reproduced into FYI folders. Reprints of <br />these press clippings will be created, produced and distributed in custom project folders to brokers and <br />prospects. Digital versions of the print media will be email blasted to the MSPS database of retail brokers <br />and Downtown San Leandro prospects. <br />Leasing &~ Asset Management for Property Owners <br />Committed to the vision of Downtown San Leandro, Main Street Property Services will allocate funds from <br />the budget to educating and assisting property owners through a number of means such as group <br />workshops or on cone-on-one basis. This will begin to foster the relationships between property owners <br />and the city needed to further transform Downtown San Leandro. <br />Community <br />Downtown San Leandro is a dedicated community filled with people who take pride in the place that they <br />live, work and seek entertainment. In 2009, efforts will include additional outreach to the people in the <br />community. By attending community meetings and focusing on the personal relationships with the people <br />of Downtown, the city will continue to gain the support needed to attract the specialty retailers and <br />restaurants to this dynamic trade area. <br />ICSC <br />Downtown San Leandro will be represented at both ICSC Conventions in Monterey and San Diego. MSPS <br />will reserve a table display and feature Downtown San Leandro at the event. Additional °I am San Leandro <br />magnets will be created to pass out at the event as well as other marketing materials designed to create a <br />"buzz" among the attendees and draw attention to the Downtown San Leandro. Not only does this event <br />serve as a great opportunity to create brand recognition for the downtown, but also provide the MSPS <br />leasing team with a chance to build relationships with a number of interested brokers and prospects. <br />SUMMARY <br />The year 2008 allowed for many new developments to take place in Downtown San Leandro. These were <br />only a few of the many exciting improvements yet to occur that will aid in the progress of Downtown San <br />Leandro in the coming year, By merchandising to the principal needs of the community, Downtown San <br />Leandro creates a gathering place for friends, families, and visitors to enjoy. Creating a strong foundation <br />with a powerful marketing campaign and image will only serve as a catalyst to promote an active downtown <br />experience for San Leandro.
