City Council Rules and Communications Committee r _ ~ 3 <br />February 5, 2009 <br />b. Public Comments <br />Eowyn Gorman, Carol Righton and Susan Campos of the Family Service Counseling <br />Center (FSCC), commented on their agency's tobacco cessation services, which is provided <br />through a grant. They expressed support for increasing tobacco control measures in the city, <br />starting with signage in the parks. <br />Serena Chen, American Lung Association, commented on the problems of second-hand smoke <br />in multi-unit housing, and the use of "smokers' outposts" by the City of Calabasas. <br />Charles Gilcrest commented that San Leandro has not yet had the opportunity to use RCV, and <br />the system should be given a chance. Mr. Gilcrest stated that RCV makes voting a more positive <br />experience than does the traditional voting method. <br />7. Committee Member Comments <br />None. <br />8. Adjourn <br />The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m. <br />
