PZanning Co~nr~zission Regul¢r Meeting Minutes January 22, 2009
Agenda No. 09-02 Page 14 of 14
Item 7: Miscellaneous
Secretary Livermore reported none at this time.
Item 8: Commissioners' Comments
None.
Item 9: Staff Updates/Project Status Report
Secretary Livermore reported that the San Leandro budget situation means that the City will not
be able to fund Planning Commissioners and Members of the Board of Zoning Adjustments
attendance at the Planning Commissioners' Institute this year.
Commissioner Abero asked for information about the Institute in case anyone wants to attend on
their own.
Secretary Livermore said she would email the information to the Commissioners.
Commissioner Reed asked if there is provision for staff to attend the San Leandro Chamber of
Commerce installation event this year.
Community Development Director Luke Sims said the answer is "yes," but he does not know
who will be attending at this point, but it will include City staff and City Council members. He
does not know whether any Planning Commissioners would be included.
Secretary Livermore said that the Planning Commission's next regularly scheduled meeting
date falls on February 12, which is a holiday (Lincoln's Birthday); City offices will be closed that
day so there will be no meeting. The next date after that is February 26; the tentative plan for that
date is a Work Session on the Housing Element. Although at one point she expected a public
hearing on the proposed Kaiser/ICI development's draft EIR might take place in February, the
document is not yet ready to notice, so that public hearing will be scheduled later.
Item 10: Adjourn
Motion to Adjourn
Reed /Abero; 7Aye, 0 No
Chair Dlugosh adjourned the meeting at 9:10 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Kathleen Livermore, Secretary
Recording Secretary, Barbara Templeton
