Alameda County Transportafion Improvement Authority
Special Transportation for Seniors and People with Disabilities
^ No
Narrative Responses for C and D above:
Survey & Workshop Results:
1. Majority of the trips are for medical appointments, shopping and banking.
2. Riders greatest concern is that the Curb-to-Curb or Out-of--Town Medical service is full
and they cannot get the ride that they need.
3. Riders prefer a fare increase over service reduction.
• What needs or priorities have been identified that will be met by proposed service
changes?
• What needs or priorities will still not be met even after implementing proposed service
changes?
• How many potential riders do you estimate will use this service this coming fiscal year?
Responee•
Needs/Priorities that will be met after implementing proposed services changes:
1. We hope that the Hayward-San Leandro Shuttle Connection will alleviate some OTMT
demand because riders can take the Shuttle Connection to Hayward Kaiser and other
medical facilities located in Hayward.
Needs/Priorities that will not be met after implementing proposed services changes:
1. Service hours will be reduced on the Shuttle Service.
2. Group Trips will be eliminated.
3. Riders indicated that they prefer a fare increase over service reduction. Unfortunately,
we must implement both in order to reduce program costs.
FY 2008-09 Rider Estimates:
• 1600 Registered Riders
• 200 Unduplicated Riders -Curb-to-Curb Service
• The number of unduplicated riders on the Shuttle Service is not measured.
Is your program currently meeting the Minimum Service Levels? (See appendix)
^ Yes. ®No. ^ N/A - ADA Provider.
If your answer is "No", which ones are you not meeting and how?
Response•
C:\Documents and SettingsUcmyersU.oval Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.0utlook\OES 1NYN2\MB Annual Program
Application Cover FY0910.doc
