Alameda County Transportafion Improvement Authority Special Transportation for Seniors and People with Disabilities developmentally disabled. The variety of services is limited and does not meet the medical transportation needs of our riders. Many of our riders do not have the resource of family or friends for their transportation needs and cannot afford the expense of a taxi. Although some residential facilities provide shuttle transportation, the majority do not. By providing Out-of--Town Medical Trips, we are meeting a critical life need which was identified through public input. 3. If MSL gap funding was not available to meet this need, would other funding sources be available to meet this need? We would continue to look for funding opportunities. In light of current City budget constraints it is not possible for the City to subsidize the service. a. If other funding was not available, how would you prioritize which minimum service levels to cut? The Out of Town Medical service would be eliminated which would also eliminate Interim Service for out-of--town medical trips. 4. Does your program provide ADA equivalent service to those outside the ADA service corridor in your jurisdiction? The City Paratransit Program serves all of the incorporated City of San Leandro. East Bay Paratransit provides service to all parts of San Leandro.
