She reported that the conference theme was a sustainable economy, and while she attended a seminar on summer youth programs, most of the sessions related to how to obtain stimulus funding for various projects. C. Reports on Empowerment Funds Councilmember Gregory reported that he contributed $500 from his Community Empowerment Funds to McKinley Elementary School. Mayor Santos reported that he contributed $250 from his Community Empowerment Funds to the San Leandro Boys & Girls Club. D. Reports on City Council Committees 1. Business and Housing Development Committee Meeting of March 12, 2009. Accepted as submitted. Recommendation for Redevelopment Agency Consideration: a. Amendment of the consulting services agreement with San Leandro Chamber of Commerce to remove programs that will not be completed this year and add additional business assistance services, increasing the total contract by $5,000. By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation. b. Schedule approval of an increase in the Facade Improvement Program project reimbursement from 50% to 75% for the remainder of FY 2008-09 and FY 2009-10 and an increase in the dollar amount the Executive Director can approve from $25,000 to $50,000. By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation. 2. City and San Leandro Unified School District Liaison Committee Meeting of March 19, 2009. Accepted as submitted. 3. Facilities and Transportation Committee Meeting of March 10, 2009. Accepted as submitted. 4. Finance Committee Meeting of March 17, 2009. Accepted as submitted. Recommendation for City Council Consideration: a. Schedule approval of mid-year adjustments for Fiscal Year 2008-09 budget of $3,345,545. By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation.
