DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 3 <br />April 27, 2009 <br />City of San Leandro City Council Special Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Gregory announced that he is hosting a Town Hall meeting on this <br />Wednesday regarding the future of healthcare in Alameda County. Various <br />stakeholders are invited to talk to the public, and members of the public are invited to <br />express their views, regarding the San Leandro Hospital. He commented that San <br />Leandro is not a complete community without a good healthcare system and good <br />education. The City, though not a direct stakeholder, needs to be part of the dialogue <br />for the many jobs at stake and access to good quality healthcare. Councilmember <br />Gregory expressed support for the resolution. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 2009-057 <br />, Resolution Urging the Eden Township Healthcare <br />District, the Eden-Sutter Board, and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to <br />Maintain San Leandro Hospital as an Acute Care Facility with Emergency Room <br />Services. (1123) <br /> <br />M/S/C Prola and Starosciak. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Abstain: 1 (Stephens) <br /> <br /> <br /> 3.
