Minutes -- City of San Leandro City Council Meeting -January 4,1999 Page 4 <br />5. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND CONIlVIENTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />None <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br />1. Rules and Communications Committee -- Vice Mayor Galvan reported on <br />the Committee Meeting which took place December 22, 1998. <br />C. City Council Comments <br />1. Council Member Gram commented on recent discussion with the Council <br />regarding gas stations and their lack of service to the disabled and noted that, <br />given she has noticed that one gas station has been closed, perhaps Council may <br />want to consider how many gas stations are in existence in San Leandro before <br />placing more restrictions on the ones currently open. <br />2. Council Member Nardine acknowledged Dave Bohne, Director of Community <br />Services, for his recent election to the office of Second Vice President of the <br />League of California Cities' Recreation, Parks and Community Services <br />Departmentt <br />3. Mayor Young wished everyone a very Happy New Year. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered for <br />approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council may remove <br />items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. Items listed on the <br />Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br />Items 6.B, 6.F, and 6.G were removed from the Consent Calendar to New <br />Business. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved as <br />follows: <br />M/S/C Galvan and Glaze. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Loeffler <br />A. Minutes of the Meeting of December 21, 1998. Approved as amended. <br />B. Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Calling for Bids for Fairway <br />Drive Median Landscaping, Project No. 98-210-38-198 (provides for public <br />bidding and for landscape improvements on the median between Doolittle Drive <br />and Neptune Drive. Bid Opening date is scheduled for January 26, 1999). <br />Removed from the Consent Calendar to New Business. (2858) <br />
