Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 11 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency joint Meeting -February 1,1999 <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />-- Resolution No. 99-3. Resolution of the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br />of the City of San Leandro Determining That the Public Interest and Necessity <br />Require the Acquisition of Certain Land and Directing the Filing of Eminent <br />Domain Proceedings, 1444 Marina Boulevard, Assessor's Parcel No. 077A- <br />0714-004 (authorizes the City Attorney to petition the court to begin eminent <br />domain proceedings for the acquisition of 3.13 acres plus 7,994 square feet for <br />an Access Easement of real property for redevelopment purposes for the <br />Marina Square Auto Center). (1206/1120) <br />M/S/C Nardine and Galvan. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Loeffler <br />E. Ordinance Na. 99-04, An Ordinance Amending Title II, Chapter 4 of the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code Relating to Utility User Taxes for Telephone, Electrical, <br />Gas, and Cable Television Service (provides for amendments to keep the <br />provisions current in light of changes in the utility services industry; no changes to <br />the rate or tax base are proposed; no fiscal impact). (1170) <br />-- Passed to Print <br />M/S/C Galvan and Lothrop. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Loeffler <br />F. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br />Steve Meyers, City Attorney, reported that the City Council authorized <br />settlement of the litigation case, Engram vs City of San Leandro, in the <br />amount of $21,500. <br />8. CONTINUED PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Continued Public Comments is limited to the balance of speaker cards that have been <br />submitted to the City Clerk and any new speakers who have not been heard. <br />Comments will be limited to 5 minutes per speaker. <br />A. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the Council regarding the <br />Public Comment process. He indicated that a person is not able to speak before, <br />during, and/or after the fact. <br />9. STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS <br />The Mayor gave the State of the City Address. <br />
